Iron Chef Elm City 2010 is Chef Yousef Ghalaini from Bespoke

The results are in from the Iron Chef Elm City and congrats go to Chef Yousef Ghalaini.

Using coffee, the “secret ingredient,” the three chefs from three of New Haven’s top restaurants created an appetizer, entree and dessert using coffee, provided by Willoughby’s Coffee and Tea, the sponsor of this years’ ingredient. Chef Daniel Sergi of Basta Trattoria, Chef Franceso d’Amuri from L’Orcio and the winner Chef Yousef Ghalaini from Bespoke created dishes that used a compex blend of flavors and ingredients. The audience was amazed at their creativity.

Delia, The Viking Center of the Northeast and was a spectacular venue to hold this event. Thanks to Gelato Giuliana, Atticus Bookstore Cafe/ Chabaso Bakery, Judies European Bakery, Deep River Snacks, Fine Cooking Magazine for providing great treats for the attendees. Thanks to our judges, Wiley Mullins, Todd Lyon and Mark Scarbrough, our floor spokesmen, Bruce Weinstein and Mike Devlin and our emcee Desiree Fontaine of CT Style WTNH. Thanks to all of the support people that made this event a success. I was delighted that Allison Foley, the only Connecticut finalist from the 44th Pillsbury Bake-Off was able to attend.
